Arrivals day only seems like yesterday, but after two weeks it was time to say well done and farewell to our Session 1 students at Yarnton Manor.
Students worked incredibly hard over two weeks, enhancing their academic and cultural horizons through high-quality teaching, personal assignments, cultural enrichment and exciting excursions. They have experienced everything from dissecting hearts to surf machines!
To round off their Summer Programme, students were invited to their graduation ceremony where they were awarded with a certificate for their hard work.
Programme Director Christine kicked off the inspiring graduation ceremony, with a speech that emphasised how far students had come from the beginning of two weeks, and how they had achieved this together. Each student was presented with a graduation scroll, and for those students who had shown exceptional effort or achieved particular academic heights, there were special awards. For each subject, a student was awarded a prize for Effort, and another student for Attainment. In addition to this, the teachers and campus staff selected two students for their contribution to the social timetable due to their effort and consideration. The winners were Aiko Tan and Hemlet Fuschich- great job there!
Afterwards, and what they had all been waiting for, was time to start the party. The students loved taking photos and reminiscing over their two weeks, and to top it all off the kitchen staff prepared a delicious, fancy meal. A great time was had by all, as they danced, chatted and laughed well into the evening; the mood was celebratory, as students let their hair down and shared final fun moments together. Congratulations, one and all, we hope you had an unforgettable experience at Yarnton Manor!
As one Session ends, another begins! No rest for the campus team with arrivals day for Session 2 students yesterday, but it was another great day of fun and excitement! Check our next blog post to read more about the kick-off for Session 2.
