The whole team here at Yarnton Manor is excitedly gearing up to receive the first cohort of summer school students this coming Sunday. Incoming students are about to embark on a unique summer experience at Yarnton Manor, Oxford Royale Academy’s very own 17th-century manor house. They will be guided, challenged and inspired by our world-class team of teachers, as they set about Broadening their Horizons, bolstering their business nous on our Business and Enterprise Programme, or developing key skills for university applications and study on our Engineering or Medical School Preparation programmes.
Then, when lessons are done each day, our friendly and supportive team of Junior Deans and Counsellors will lead students in a fantastic range of excursions and social activities. Particular events to look forward to this Session are trips to Hampton Court Palace and London (topped off with a viewing of the West End classic Mamma Mia!), mid-session and graduation parties (‘Vintage Circus’ and ‘Medieval’-themed), and jaunts to the historic city of Oxford for tours around university colleges and other city landmarks, and, always entertaining, punting on the river.
Alongside all this, students can be sure that they will forge lasting friendships and connections with their classmates. Living and studying so closely with one another will be the ideal opportunity for students to make intellectual and personal bonds to carry with them into future studies and experiences.
If you want to keep an eye on all the exciting things we’ll be up to at Yarnton Manor over the coming weeks make sure to bookmark this blog as we will be posting all the latest news, highlights, photos and videos each day.
