After such a fantastic night in London last night watching ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, students began to realize that their time with us here at ORA, unfortunately isn’t going to last forever. The students staying at Queen’s College decided that they had to appreciate and enjoy every minute of their stay with their newfound friends.
Students, staff and parents gathered all together in the Shulman Theatre, where the students have spent much of their time enjoying lessons, workshops and movie nights. Ron Wilder, Programme Director, reintroduced himself and provided a warm and congratulatory speech enlightening the parents on the student’s many achievements. Each student was individually called up to receive their graduation scrolls including their Programme Reviews, highlighting the most memorable points of their stay with us. Every student has achieved so much in such a short space of time; we feel every student will thrive at any top university.
After the formalities were complete, they got ready for their ‘British Seaside’ themed party at St Catherine’s College. There were many props to provide the décor, including giant beach balls, a giant deck chair and a giant bucket and spade. Students had the chance to play mini golf and put their balancing skills to the test on the surfing simulator. Throughout, the dance floor was by far the most popular attraction, students grabbed every last minute to dance the evening away with the friends who will soon be scattered across the globe. We wish every student the very best of luck, and we hope to see them again in coming years!
