After a weekend filled with joy and relaxation, the students were refreshed and ready to throw themselves back into their academic curriculum. Monday held a full morning of lessons followed by an afternoon workshop. Having completed their first week, the students have undoubtedly found their form and are producing work of an exceptionally high quality, teachers repeatedly report back with how impressed with they are. Students undertaking university preparation courses are beginning to feel much more relaxed about the prospect of attending university. This is mainly due to experiencing the day to day life of a student attending the University of Oxford, but also sampling the course they will be studying, ensuring that it’s the right choice.

After meeting their academic commitments for the day, students first partook in a salsa dancing class, in which a lively and electric atmosphere was matched by some superb dancing. Students enjoyed the opportunity to bust out a few moves in preparation for the upcoming graduation party at St Catherine’s College.

Students then, as dusk fell, embarked on the theatrical Oxford Ghost Tour. Bill Spectre, the fantastic, costumed guide led students through the streets of one of the most historically haunted cities in Britain. Students walked down Dead Man’s Walk and listened to tales of gruesome deaths in past centuries.
