Here at St Peter’s College in Oxford, we are keenly awaiting the arrival of our third group of ORA students for the summer. St Peter’s is one of the youngest colleges at Oxford University, providing a brilliant and seamless integration of both modern and traditional architecture. The central location provides a fantastic base for the students to get out and explore as much of the city centre as possible in their short stay with us here. Our excellent teaching staff are waiting eagerly to begin tuition on introductory courses in Computer Science, Engineering and Law. We are also to encourage New Perspectives on academic programmes to help students to build or find interests in a chosen subject field.
Students won’t be spending all their time with us in the classroom,
however. They will be offered the chance to participate in a huge range of social and extra-curricular activities alongside an array of inspiring excursions. Session 5 excursion highlights include trips to the Warner Brother’s Studio: Harry Potter tour and Blenheim Palace. Students also have two parties to look forward to: A mid-session ‘Wizard School’ party at St Catherine’s College and a ‘Carnival’ themed graduation party.
There is no doubt that students will forge long lasting friendships with their classmates. As the students live, study and play together, they are capable of building a real connection with their peers. These connections enable students to really feel at home here at St Peter’s.
