After some simply brilliant performances yesterday at the ORA’s Got Talent show, the students looked forward to the culmination of their time here – Graduation. After one final morning of lessons, the students put on their finest outfits and got ready for their graduation ceremony.
Students, parents and staff gathered in the St Peter’s Chapel, where Bob Barnes, Programme Director, sung the students praise in an opening speech. Bob then began to call students up individually to receive their graduation scroll and programme reviews, highlighting the most memorable moments of their short stay with us. Bob reminded students and parents to keep in touch, as we love to keep updated on our old alumni’s activities.
After the ceremony, students headed back to their rooms to prepare themselves for the enchanted ‘Narnia’ themed Graduation Ball right here at St Peter’s College. After such a special two weeks together, the students have forged really tight friendships, making last night’s graduation ceremony really extraordinary. The students acted as though they had known each other far longer than just the two weeks they’ve stayed with us.
Students were greeted with a sumptuous display of sweet treats, mouth-watering mock-tails and a variety of fun attractions including a bucking bronco! Once again the student favourite was the dance floor, bogeying away late into the evening with their new lifelong friends.
We hope students have loved their time with us here at ORA, it has been a pleasure hosting them and they are very welcome again next year.
