The students staying at St Mary’s Ascot had a very busy day in the classroom yesterday. We have been informed by the teachers that all of the students are excelling in their academic studies and that they are particularly impressed by the children’s enthusiasm for leaning, especially given the academic demands of the course.
Once lessons were finished for the day, the students assembled in the St Mary’s Rose Hall to find the Science in Schools team waiting for them. Science in Schools provide highly interactive and informative demonstrations, often leaving our students astounded at the incredible array of wizzes, pops and explosions! The demonstrator did a fantastic job at captivating the students attention, by stimulating all their senses with new smells, flashing lights and big bangs. The interactive nature of the workshop really engaged the students, ensuring they learnt the maximum amount the short two-hour period. During the session some students were even able to volunteer and take part themselves, creating their very own live science experiments!
Tomorrow the students are very much looking forward to their visit to the Harry Potter Studios! Stay tuned to see how they get on.
