Unfortunately for the students joining us for session 4 here at St Mary’s Ascot, their week has come to an end – but what a week it has been! Students have fully embraced English life and taken every challenge firmly in their stride. We really couldn’t have asked for a better group.
Yesterday was the student graduation ceremony in the main lecture hall. Parents and students gathered and listened to Programme Director Wendy Missions recap and highlight all the fantastic activities the students have been getting up to.
Students were invited up on stage to receive their graduation certificates alongside their programme reviews, posing for photos with all their new friends. It’s no surprise that the students were slightly upset that the week had come to an end all too soon, but before it did it was time for one big party altogether.
Students gathered in the main hall for a feast of sugary treats and mouth-watering mocktails to satisfy their sweet teeth. A surf simulator provided much entertainment for the students who tried their very best to stay aboard and beat their friend’s times. The most popular attraction, however, was unquestionably the dance floor, taking the opportunity to dance with their new friends from all around the world one last time before departures tomorrow morning.
We here at ORA wish the students staying at St Mary’s Ascot the very best of luck in all future endeavours, and remember to stay in touch!
