As reward for their performance in the quiz on Monday, students staying in the Hollowfrost House were allowed to go first into LEGOLAND. Which child does not dream of becoming a knight, an explorer, a test driver or a pilot and entering a fascinating world of adventure?
The students got to fly through the tree tops and escape fearsome dragons, with over 55 major rides and attractions in the park to choose from. Many students visited the souvenir shop, purchasing rare LEGO pieces and kits to take home and construct.
After returning to Ascot and having a delicious dinner in the main dining hall, the councellors set up activity stations for students to enjoy. There was a Chango Lingo session where students banged drums and learnt native dancing techniques, in addition to some fancy feather balancing tricks. A second group enjoyed a highly competitive game of dodgeball in the dance studio. Another group were able to tend to their creative natures in an arts and crafts session, making new and exciting animals and objects. The final group went to the computer room, where there we preloaded games ready for the students to enjoy. All of these sessions were rotated so the students were able to enjoy all the activities.
After a long and busy day, the students did not need persuading to go to their dorms for bedtime. Many tired faces quickly hopped into bed in their dorms, happy to chat to their roommates about the fun adventures the day had held and rest up ready for another full day tomorrow.
