Competition was fierce in St Hugh’s today, as staff and students alike competed for the crown of glory in ORA’s Got Talent. Students stunned with their flawless brisés and bourrées, and succeeded in playing a guitar duet with their instruments held behind their heads. Staff amused students with a comic performance, complete with mix-and-match comedy wigs.
Students also enjoyed physical competition in badminton matches on the lawns, and a handstand contest between students and counsellors. Counsellor Jake triumphed with an astounding handstand record of 1.08 minutes!
They also had a chance to practise their interview and networking skills in a speed-interview session on campus. Students spent two minutes at a time gaining as much information as possible about their interlocutor, which was also a great way for students to get to know people who weren’t in their classes or immediate friendship groups.
