Welcome to St Catherine’s College (or, as you’ll soon get used to calling it, St Catz), where we’re gearing up to receive students and parents later today.
Students are about to embark on a unique summer experience at St Catz, a striking architectural feat by Arne Jacobsen, and the University of Oxford’s youngest undergraduate college (est. 1962). Under the guidance of our dynamic, world-class team of teachers, and alongside international classmates, students will set about Broadening their Horizons.
This experience will go beyond the bounds of the classroom, as aside from learning about Classical Civilisations, Medical Biology, Astronomy, or Genetics (to name but four of our full range of subjects), students will have the opportunity to explore the history, architecture and winding waterways of Oxford city, the grandeur of Windsor Castle, and all that London has to offer (including West End smash-hit musical Wicked); and the Catz cohort (perhaps the WildCatz, BobCatz or just plain CoolCatz) will compete with the other ORA campuses in the Inter-Campus Olympics. Students will also have the chance to unwind and celebrate with their new friends at mid-session and graduation parties (‘Narnia’ and ‘Carnival’-themed).
Make sure that you bookmark the St Catz blog as we’ll be posting daily updates throughout the next two weeks, including photos of students enjoying lessons and activities each day. It’s going to be a wonderful two weeks, and you really won’t want to miss a thing.
