Students staying at Goodenough College have reached the half way mark of their time with us here at ORA. They have all worked exceptionally hard and are truly excelling in their subject choices. It’s not all work no play however as students were able to celebrate the half way mark at last nights Mid Session Party.
The 1920’s were an age of dramatic political and social change. New and exciting jazz music, crowds flocked to watch the likes of Charlie Chaplin grace their TV screens and skyscrapers began entering city skylines. Flappers and mobsters made the roaring 20’s perhaps one of the most glamorous decades. Last night at Goodenough College the students caught a glimpse of what life in the 20’s was like at the Mid Session Party at Bloomsbury House.
The house was fully decorated to fit the era, with champagne towers – full of delicious sparkling soft beverages, glitzy table ornaments and dazzlingly dressed staff. The students were entertained by numerous games run by the counsellors, before the main event, dancing. Students – although hesitant at first, danced all evening with their new friends, Counsellors and Junior Deans. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and students reluctantly returned back to Goodenough to rest up before tomorrow’s excursion to visit Windsor Castle, stay tuned to find out how they got on.
