After a busy and exciting few days of Oracle guest lecturers, ORA’s Got Talent and the trip to the West End to see the Walt Disney adaptation of Aladdin, the students began to recognise that they were rapidly approaching the end of their stay with us here at Goodenough College London. After their last full morning of lessons and the afternoon workshop, students prepared for their graduation ceremony.
Students gathered and received a heartwarming speech from Programme Director Chris Hovell uplifting the students about their departure tomorrow morning. The students were reminded about the opportunity to rejoin us here at Goodenough next summer or to potentially enrol at one of our other summer school programmes in either Oxford or Cambridge. Students were then given their individual programme reviews, providing a summary and highlights of their time with us here at ORA, in addition to thanking the students for their perfect behaviour and for representing the company brilliantly on all excursions. Students were reminded that they are very much encouraged to stay in touch, ORA takes great interest in finding out about old alumni’s activities.
Students then darted off to their rooms where they got into their costumes for the ‘Titanic’ themed graduation party in the Large Common Room. With the Goodenough group being small, the students became exceptionally close over the last fortnight. Students were keen to
take as many photos as possible with their peers before their departure tomorrow morning.
