To mark the halfway mark of the student’s stay with us here at Goodenough College in London, the students fully engrossed themselves into the ‘Vintage Circus’ themed party at Bloomsbury House. Students were transformed with the help of Junior Deans Harriet and Toby, and their team of counsellors into ringmasters, lion-tamers and clowns!
Upon arrival, a beautiful selection of mocktails greeted the students to help get them into the party spirit! As the sun began to set, students were ushered into the ballroom, complete with circus décor, DJ and an array of drinks and snacks to fuel the party! Although some students were a little apprehensive at the beginning, counsellors encouraged every student to join in, and by the end of the evening, everyone was dancing! Definitely not a night to be forgotten in a hurry, with many students already discussing next week’s ‘Titanic’ themed ball!
The bus ride home was electric, with tales of the evening’s antics. But when students arrived home to Goodenough College, many quickly flopped into bed immediately without having to be told – certainly a first! Tomorrow the students look forward to visiting 16th century Hampton Court Palace, a particular favourite of King Henry VIII. More updates to follow!
