With their first day of lessons already under their belts, confidence has certainly risen in the classrooms. Levels of interaction between teacher and pupil have increased drastically overnight, seemingly resulting in higher concentration and productivity from all students.
Students were eager to venture outside of Goodenough College and make the most of the beautiful day. The walking tour would follow London’s major tourist sites enabling students to see as much of the city as possible. First on the list, and right on the student’s doorstep is the renowned 18th century British Museum, dedicated to human history, art and culture, boasting a staggering 8 million works in its permanent collection. Then on to view Westminster, Big Ben, and the London Eye!
The 4th of July signifies the independence of America from the British Empire after the Revolutionary War. Keeping this in mind, Goodenough opted to host an American themed evening with a Texas grill barbecue and poker game for the steely faced individuals capable of holding their own at the table. The walking tour left many students weary and ready for a relaxed evening in the College. The weather blessed the BBQ with warm sunshine creating the perfect end to another brilliant day in London!
After a busy day, the sleepy students were ready to get to settle and recharge their batteries for another busy day tomorrow. More updates to follow!
