The final day of the students stays had come all too quickly. Students gathered in the Great Hall, in front of staff and proud parents. Steven Flavin, the Programme Director in Balliol, delivered a fine speech congratulating the students on how far they have come, inspiring them for future endeavours. Students were individually handed their graduation scrolls, confirming the completion of their time with us at Oxford Royale Academy.
When the graduation was concluded, the students began the festivities right here at Balliol College for a marvellous ‘Vintage Circus’ themed party. The food was magnificent, only trumped by the sumptuous mocktails and canapés on arrival.
Students were greatly impressed by the vast range of props to complete the décor. The students indulged in unlimited popcorn from the machine and tested their balance skills on the bucking bronco. The highlight of the night was the dance floor by far, although many were at first tentative when the end of the night came and the DJ finished, the students chanted “One more song! One more song!”. Their request was granted, allowing the students to enjoy five more valuable minutes of bliss and happiness on the dance floor with their friends.
We will be sad to see the students go, but we are very sure that they will go on to be successful in whatever they choose to do. We look forward to seeing many of the students again next year!
