Today, the students arrive in Balliol College for Oxford Royale Academy’s fourth session. We at ORA cannot wait— and we hope, and fully expect, that the students are as excited as we are!
Over the next two weeks, the students in Balliol will be living and studying in one of Oxford’s most prestigious colleges and one of the world’s great academic institutions, eating in a dining room that has seen at its tables three British Prime Ministers and five Nobel Laureates.
In addition to their particular studies, delving into their chosen subjects with the help of ORA’s expert teachers, students will have the chance to learn about a wide range of topics not normally on a school’s curriculum in ORA’s Insight Masterclasses; and outside of the classroom, a whole world of diversion and fun await.
The students in Balliol will have free roam over the ancient city of Oxford, able to wander its picturesque cobbled streets with abandon. Organised activities will also happen daily, with trips to the theatre to watch several of Shakespeare’s plays; punting sessions along the River Cherwell; two grand celebrations; and much more— certainly more than there is space to list here.
In between the many activities, lessons, and trips, students will also be getting to know one another better. One of the great things about ORA is the enormous blend of different nationalities: students will be able to make friends from dozens of countries.
We cannot wait for it to begin.
