The day everyone has been waiting for has arrived at last! With their graduation ceremony just hours away, the morning classes were understandably more lively than usual.
The staff were prepared for this and, as a reward for all their hard work, lots of teachers had organised academic games and activities for the last classes. It made for a great way to still pack in a little learning on the last day while also celebrating everything the students had achieved. Before they left, the students made sure to thank their teachers for all the enthusiasm and expertise they’ve brought to classes over the last two weeks.
With final lessons out of the way, graduation took over for the rest of the day. Everyone rushed from their classes to their rooms, changed into their formal outfits in record time, and gathered in the Simpkin’s Lecture Theatre for the ceremony. Despite having quite a small cohort this session, the applause as each student received their scroll was as enthusiastic as it had been in any previous session.
After a delicious meal, the students headed over to Yarnton Manor to join with our other 16-18 cohort for a party on the lawn at Yarnton. With live music from The Rhythm Kicks, a bucking bronco, a reaction test game, and some blue lighting to make the party pop, it was an unforgettable night.
The students headed home tired after their night of partying but with a host of wonderful memories.
