Graduation day arrived at Yarnton with a rush of excitement and energy all over campus. Breakfast was willed with bubbly chatter as everyone discussed their plans for the party later on.
Though classes were scheduled for the morning as usual, the students were treated to a more relaxed set of lessons than usual as some of the teachers organised fun games and activities for the last day. As our students have spent the past two weeks really dedicating themselves to their studies, having a more chilled-out day of lessons was a welcome treat.
Before they left for the very last time, the students were sure to say thank you to their teachers for all their creative and fascinating lessons over the session.
Lunch breezed by in a blur of anticipation and, before the students knew it, the time had come to get changed into their best outfits and head to their ceremonies.
Since our students have grown so close over the last two weeks, it only made sense that they collected their scrolls together in one big graduation ceremony surrounded by all their friends. Adam, the programme director, made a wonderful speech, pulling out the best qualities of both cohorts and making everyone feel incredibly proud.
After plenty of time for photos, the younger cohort left Yarnton for dinner at Browns restaurant in the town centre where they spent the evening laughing and sharing memories over a delicious meal.
Meanwhile, our older students were reunited with our Lady Magaret’s cohort for their dinner and party at Yarnton. Everyone was glad to see their friends again and the evening was filled with games, dancing, and a live band! It was a suitably fantastic end to a fantastic session and a great send off for our students.
