As we hit mid-week at Lady Margaret’s there’s no shortage of energy to be found on campus. The continuing summer sunshine has helped keep everyone’s spirits high through both lessons and social activities.
The end of the students’ programmes are in sight now, which means that for many students its time to start handing in group work and putting the final touches to assignments. For our Business and Enterprise students, the morning lessons were dedicated to performing the presentations they’ve been hard at work on over the last few days.
It was a great chance for the students to show off everything they’ve learned and to practice their public-speaking skills. The class all know each other well enough by now that there was hardly any nervousness and everyone impressed with their both their ideas and their performances!
After a break for lunch, the students wanted to take advantage of the warm weather and go punting. Over the session, taking a trip down the river has been a very popular way for the students to unwind during their free time, so there were plenty of expert punters in the group. It’s great to see them all so fearless on the river, and with the bright sunshine to accompany them, it was an afternoon everyone enjoyed.
Once all the students had returned to campus and had some dinner, the counsellors organised a talk about applying to UK universities as an international student.
Since we’re drawing towards the end of the summer, quite a few members of the cohort have begun thinking about the future and considering the possibility of returning to the UK – or even Oxford – one day.
