Our final week in Ascot came to a close with a great graduation on Friday, as the students celebrated a super successful summer session at St Mary’s! The festivities were complete with a delicious meal and a party, as everyone let their hair down following a fine week!
It was a cloudy Friday on campus, but that wasn’t going to rain on the students’ parade, and they were in jubilant mood right from the very start of the day. After a tasty breakfast, they headed off to their last few classes.
The teachers used these lessons to draw the courses to a neat conclusion, capping off their subjects and mixing in some fun activities to keep the party mood bubbling along nicely. This worked nicely, as the students were buzzing throughout the day.
Before long, it was time for the ceremony. The students all filed into the Rose Theatre, taking their seats excitedly and sat in keen anticipation of their turn to head up to the front. Despite their eagerness, they made sure to clap and cheer as all of their friends collected their awards.
Once the prizes had been handed out, it was party time! Lots of scrumptious food was eaten, and then the students all threw their best shapes out on the dancefloor at the disco. It was also a chance to say goodbye to their new companions, although it may only be a short-term farewell as the friendships look set to continue beyond the programme.
