A sunny Thursday at St Catherine’s allowed the students to go outside and exercise their creative sides in the lovely weather! The activity was the perfect foil for the academic deadlines, and everyone was grateful for it as they made the most of the sunshine.
The gathering storm of academic hand-ins, coupled with the rain of the past few days meant that the students were looking for some outdoor fun to redress the balance, and their wishes were granted after lunch. The clouds, both metaphorical and literal, cleared away, as the sun came out and their work projects were completed.
For some of the students, the lure of the city was too great and they headed out into Oxford to cruise the shops with their friends. Those who stayed on campus were presented with a chance to create their own incredible tie-dyed ORA t-shirts.
They gathered on the lawn in the pleasant sunshine, and were handed out their tops and protective gloves before setting about learning how to use the dye. The instructions took a little bit of time to master, but soon they were away and livening the tops up with splashes of colour and cool patterns!
The activity was not only very enjoyable, but also a welcome change after a few productive but intense days on campus. The students’ spirits were high and they are only set to soar even higher on Friday, as graduation looms large.
