The week is nearing its end for the students on our 19 + programmes and what a week its been! All of our students have worked incredibly hard to get their work completed and we are sure that this has paid off, as all of our teachers appear to be impressed by everything they have produced.
At breakfast on Thursday the mood was light as our students discussed everything they had learnt during their stay and how valuable the programmes had been for them. As they chatted about the prospect of returning home on Saturday, a sudden sense of sadness descended in the room. Soon everyone realised they would soon be saying goodbye to both Oxford and their new friends, and they were eager to make the most of one of their final couple of days together.
In classes, the group worked hard again, however, having done the bulk of their assignments and presentations, the day was a little more relaxed for everyone. Our teachers and students have formed strong academic bonds during these two weeks, and they have shared a lot of knowledge over the duration of the session.
Once classes were over, there was a chance for some free time which students filled with sharing phone numbers and addresses so that they can keep in touch in the future. It’s been brilliant to see these international friendships develop, and we hope they stay in contact.
As the sun set, some of the group set off for the city centre to get some more beautiful shots of the ‘Dreaming Spires.’ Others remained in college, chatting and chilling, as they spoke about the excitement of graduation on Friday.
