Thursday was thankfully a brighter day on campus, and the upward turn in the weather reflected the high spirits amongst our students as they looked forward to their graduation. The most popular subject at breakfast was what to do with their last free afternoon later in the day!
Classes might be wrapping up, but that doesn’t mean content is any less engaging than usual – in fact, it might even be getting more interesting. Our Introduction to Medicine students spent the day tackling the tricky topic of ethics and medicine, turning the lesson into a mini-debate class as they discussed all the difficult questions that come along with the subject. To round off the day’s lessons, they turned to investigating how to apply to medical school. Throughout the session so far, it’s been a burning question on the minds of all our students and they were very glad to have a whole lesson set aside for it!
The warm afternoon weather lent itself to exploration, so the students ventured away from campus into the city centre for a list visit to their favourite spots or to snatch up any last souvenirs while they could.
For the evening, the students provided their own entertainment with ORA’s Got Talent! The acts ranged widely from acapella singing to a choreographed martial arts demonstration. Some of the students really put their all into their moments of fame, creating incredible emotional displays.
Seeing so many students brave and proud enough to perform in front of their peers was really wonderful and everyone got a loud round of applause for their stunning demonstration. It’s safe to say everyone went off to bed with smiles!
