On Thursday, our Balliol cohort took to the outdoors to embrace the beautiful weather, as the skies brightened up in Oxford. Having successfully managed their work projects, the students were glad to swap the classroom for the lawn and take their learning outside!
This was certainly true in the case of the Architecture students, as they celebrated the completion of their projects by heading out into the resplendent sunshine and taking part in a free sketching class. Using the striking Oxford skyline as inspiration, they displayed their aptitude for art with some impressive drawings of the ‘Dreaming Spires’.
Meanwhile, across the lawn, the IELTS students had also embraced the change in conditions and were having a fun language skills lesson. The group were playing some entertaining games, and judging by the smiles on their faces they were having a great time to boot!
Their happiness may also have been connected to the fact that they had just cleared a big hurdle in their programme. The have worked hard all session towards the goal of navigating a mock University entry exam, and were rightfully in jubilant mood after completing the test.
In fact, the whole campus had reasons to be cheerful on Thursday. Aside from the upturn in the weather, all of the students have nearly completed their courses and on the eve of Friday’s graduation, they were all eagerly anticipating the end of session celebrations.
