As we hit the mid week at Hugh’s, excitement for their graduation ceremony is beginning to fill the cohort and inspire them to work harder than ever in their classes.
The Human Biology students are having a particularly adventurous end to their lessons. While one of their assignments is a more conventional written report, the other involves them showcasing more creative skills by acting out a doctor diagnosing a patient’s symptoms. The more original take has been a real hit with the class and everyone’s really looking forward to performing their scenes on Friday.
Once lessons were finished, lots of the students chose to have their lunch in Oxford. With only a few days of the session left and so much of the city still to explore, the cohort were keen to pack as much city touring as they could into the afternoon. The sporty students discovered the Junkyard Mini Golf experience in the Westgate centre and a fierce competition developed between the students as they battled for the lowest score.
After everyone had returned to the college in the evening and eaten some dinner, the students were more than ready to get active again.
Those who weren’t too afraid of the rainclouds took up residence in the University Parks to try and even out golf losses in a game of football. There are quite a few very skilled players amongst the students so it was a very close game, but in the end the yellow team snagged a win!
Inside activities were split between a Zumba class for those with too much energy and a surprisingly fierce Uno tournament. It looks like there’ll be both card game and football scores to settle this evening!
