A stunning, sunny Tuesday in Ascot meant the students were up bright and early, eager to crack on with the day. They threw themselves into a catapult building challenge, as well as karaoke and more fun activities throughout the day!
Another programme of creative and challenging lessons took place throughout the day, including a chance to learn about robots. The students were fascinated by the subject, and had lots of questions which their enthusiastic teacher was happy to answer.
The students then set their sights on building some effective catapults, as the day continued on its promising trajectory. After some precise calculations and some neat handiwork, the colourful devices were ready and there were smiles from all angles as the group set about putting their finished catapults to the test!
The happy faces stayed throughout dinner, as pizza was on the menu and everyone tucked in appreciatively to their food. Once they had eaten, there was a choice of evening activity for the students, and many chose to play football in the evening sun. Others chose to do some crafts, encouraged by the earlier workshop.
Many, however, gathered in the Rose Theatre for a karaoke night. The students cheered on their friends as they performed, spurring on the singers to keep the crowd going! It was great to see so many happy students during the day, a trend which looks set to continue on Wednesday’s big trip.
