Another week has come to an end at Ascot, with the St Mary’s campus honouring its latest cohort of exceptional young students! The celebrations were in full flow on Friday, as the staff and students came together to mark a fine week’s work.
The teachers took the chance to get some final fun-packed lessons in, and the students made sure that every last second counted. They have learned a lot this week, as demonstrated by some of the amazing work that they were able to show off at the end.
Of course, no day on campus would be complete without some games, and the students all gathered to spend time playing and, in some cases, settling friendly contests which have run throughout the week!
The time finally arrived for the students to congregate in the Rose Theatre and collect their graduation certificates. After all of their endeavours, this was just rewards for them and they looked delighted as they claimed their prizes. Special mentions were also given for some of the outstanding performances during the programme and the Doves house were awarded medals for collecting the most house points.
To close the ceremony, Nicole from Cyprus sung beautifully to the audience as a slide show of pictures of the graduating students was shown. It was a lovely way to end a wonderful ceremony.
With the ceremony successfully navigated, the students tucked into their graduation dinner, which was a grand affair! Then there was a special disco and some indoor games to finish the evening. Despite the fact that some of the students will be leaving on the weekend, there were only happy smiling faces to be seen as the penultimate session at St Mary’s came to a jubilant conclusion.
