Fridays are always a high-energy day on our campuses and this session was no different. As it was Friday, some of the classes were taking a more interactive approach to the day’s learning.
The Leadership and Teambuilding students spent their lessons putting everything they’ve learned so far to the test with a competition between the teams. In the style of the popular British show, The Apprentice, the students were tasked with creating their own product and pitching it to the class. After a winner had been chosen, there was time set aside for the students to reflect on their team’s strengths and weaknesses and to pick out the strongest aspects of the winning team. It was a great way to bring some Friday feeling to the learning process!
Most of the cohort headed into town for lunch before embarking on a shopping trip in preparation for the Hawaiian beach-themed party that evening. With the UK not particularly known for its beaches, a lot of the cohort hadn’t brought anything beach-suitable with them, so were eager to pick something up in town before the party started.
For their disco, our students were once reunited with the LMH cohort! The two groups of students had got on so well during their shared masterclasses on Tuesday that it was a real pleasure to see them all together again. All in all, the party was a great way to celebrate not only a successful first week but also the coming together yet again of what we hope to be some wonderful friends!
