Friday promised to be a great day for all of the students at St Edmund’s, and although the end of the programme was very much in reach, it was a final chance for students to make the very most of their final day here in Cambridge.
For this reason, everyone was up bright and early in the morning and the dining hall was filled with laughter as everyone was excited to begin the day of celebrations.
Once breakfast was over, everyone set off for their final classes, and with most of the assignments and presentations now over, the teachers had some fun activities planned for everyone. Lessons were more informal than usual as the teachers had prepared workshops and games to make the most of the last day. Before setting off to get ready for the evening, the students thanked their teachers for the passion and expertise they have shared over the past two weeks.
Then it was time for the ceremony! Everyone got changed into their formal outfits to receive the scrolls. The whole afternoon was emotional, as this is also the last graduation for lots of our campus staff in Cambridge. It was, however, brilliant to see the friendships that have formed over the this session and we are sure that these will continue for many years to come.
The evening ended with a fantastic meal and then a party, an apt reward for two tough weeks of work. It was lovely to see the students in their element, dancing, singing and care free to end the session. Well done to all of our students on their graduations!
