There might have been clouds in the sky yesterday but that didn’t stop the students from having a great day at St Peter’s.
Friday’s classes were a great chance for students to look back on the week and be proud of all the progress they’ve made since arriving. This was a particularly great moment for our Oxford Summer English class as living in Oxford has improved their English skills by leaps and bounds. With a week still to go of the programme, it really felt like the sky was the limit for our students in terms of their future achievements.
For the afternoon, our students had some free time and most of them jumped at the chance to go back out into Oxford city centre. With a silent disco planned for the evening, lots of students wanted to buy a new outfit in town, while others simply wanted to try out some of the many exciting cafes and restaurants all around Oxford.
Once everyone was back at the college, it was time to get changed into their new outfits and head outside to the marquee for the party. For dinner the staff had organised a buffet filled with all sorts of tasty nibbles so that the students could have a more relaxed dinner at the end of the week. For the rest of the evening, the students danced away, having great fun listening to some British disco classics as well as music from each other’s home countries.
Hopefully nobody’s feet will be too sore on the London excursion today!
