Balliol had a relaxed Wednesday evening in Oxford, after another day of informative lessons on campus. Students had plenty of free time to either visit the city or do some homework, as well as a fascinating talk and even an active Zumba class!
There were a few clouds in the sky over the course of the day, but they didn’t cast a shadow on the students’ bright outlook on their studies. They tackled another day in class with the same enthusiasm with which they entered the programme, and once again looked at their topics in detail.
After a day of impeccable application, the students deserved a quieter evening, and many of them headed into the city to do some shopping or find a quiet spot to socialise. For those who stayed on campus, there was a chance to go out on the lawn and do some homework in the serene surroundings.
One of the main draws of the evening was a talk from one of the teachers which shed light on their experiences of studying medicine. The talk covered both undergraduate and postgraduate study, and the students took notes, listened attentively and asked some great questions.
There was also a Zumba class in the evening, which was popular for those students who had some energy left at the end of the day! It was a very good Wednesday, and the whole campus is buzzing at the prospect of more of the same!
