Wednesday was a very important day for all of our students in the classroom as they prepared to deliver their final presentations and hand in their last assignments.
Nerves were high in the morning, and breakfast felt a little hectic. However, it quickly transpired that all the hard work of the last two weeks had paid off, as all of our teachers were impressed by high standards and students’ efforts across the board.
Lessons finished by 3:30, giving students a chance to unwind and recharge before dinner and evening activities. We took a group of students to Lock House Escape Games where they puzzled their way out of three different rooms. Single handedly, they saved the world from an evil villain, rescued an archaeologist from an Egyptian tomb and diverted an asteroid from its path of destruction. Not a bad day’s work!
Other students opted for the less high pressured activity and learned to play one of Cambridge’s most archetypal garden games – croquet! Although it can be quite a difficult game, this group excelled at hitting the ball through the hoops! Thanks to the sunshine, it was a particularly pleasant way to pass the time.
With two birthdays in our midst, the day would not have been complete without a big slice of cake, dance offs and an impromptu break out of karaoke. We wished Deniz from Turkey, a very happy birthday for Tuesday and Tarik from the United Arab Emirates, a very happy birthday for Wednesday!
