St Mary’s had a Tuesday to remember, as they continued their great start to the week with a day of science and singing in Ascot. As well as this, some sweet summer treats were on hand to make the smiles on the students’ faces even bigger!
Everyone was still in an excellent mood from their magical Monday, but it was about to get even better as the new day brought lots of new challenges and rewards. The students ate breakfast and then got stuck into the day’s classes.
A Mad Science session involved some messing around with silly putty. The students created the putty and then experimented with it, blowing bubbles and seeing how far it could stretch, with some impressive and colourful results!
Into the evening, the students had dinner with a summer twist for dessert, as fantastic frozen treats were handed out. Everyone appreciated their ice creams and lollies, and the beaming smiles remained as the evening activities began.
For many of the students, the lure of karaoke in the Rose Theatre was too much to resist, and they gathered to belt out some brilliant ballads. Others preferred to keep the sport theme going, as football and other games were played outside. Wednesday will bring a terrific trip, and the campus is certainly in the mood after a top Tuesday.
