Monday brought competition to Ascot, as the students were struck with sports fever! As well as this, their lessons started and they also had an interactive quiz in the evening.
The classes, which began after breakfast, focused on the week’s learning ahead. All the students were introduced to their new topics, and given an outline of how the lessons would take shape over the course of the week. They also had the chance to start thinking about what their work would look like come Friday’s graduation.
In the afternoon, they embraced the chance to get outside and burn some energy off. The campus was clearly inspired by the summer’s Ashes clashes, as the students were queuing up to play some cricket. A friendly match broke out, with the players split into two teams: the Sparrows versus the Starlings.
Other games were also taking place, including football, badminton and the ever-popular frisbee. The students were very grateful for the exercise, and there was lots of smiling and laughter as they charged around, battling for every point!
After yet another mouth-watering meal, the students headed to the Rose Theatre for a challenging interactive quiz. Working together, they faced a range of multiple-choice questions and strived to identify the correct option on their devices. Everyone had a good time, and there were lots of right answers which impressed the staff. Perhaps the day’s learning has already started to take effect!
