Graduation day is here at last! Our students were a hive of activity from the moment they got out of bed yesterday, all eager for the afternoon to come. As they came down to breakfast, everyone was chattering with their friends about the mock graduation they’d done the day before and how it might compare to the real thing.
The final lessons of the day were filled with giving presentations and finishing final projects. For some students, like our Business Challenge class, this meant finding out who had won overall – though no matter the winners, the staff made it clear they were proud of the progress all their students had made. In return, students made sure to thank their teachers for all their time and expertise over the session.
Lunch passed in a blur of excitement and then the students were running out to the marquee to set up some decorations for later. With so much excitement behind them, they were finished in no time and it was time to get dressed up!
The students entered the marquee decked out in their best clothes and took a seat to hear from the programme director. In their speech, they made it clear how wonderful it had been to see the students grow over the session and how impressed all of the staff were. It was very heartfelt, and the students were all shining with pride as they stepped up to claim their scrolls and special awards!
After a delicious dinner, the students set off for St Catherine’s where there was a joint witches and wizards themed party with all ORA’s other 13 – 15 cohorts. As LMH has spent a lot of time with the Hugh’s cohort, it was a great opportunity to reunite with old friends – and make new ones from St. Peters! All in all, it was a perfect way to celebrate the students’ success and end their time here on a high note.
