Congratulations to our Catz cohort, who have completed their classes and claimed the rewards! Friday saw them graduate from the programme, after two wonderful weeks in Oxford. The celebrations dominated the later part of the day, as they rejoiced in their success.
Breakfast preceded a morning of slightly more casual lessons, as the students enjoyed the first benefits of having cleared their work projects. The whole campus was in buoyant mood for the whole day, as the hotly-anticipated landmark drew closer.
The students had earmarked the afternoon for changing into their best clothes and making sure their hair was ready for the graduation photography! Their effort was not in vain, as they looked very smart when they appeared outside the theatre for the ceremony.
A few speeches opened the proceedings, with both the PD and one of the students going up. Both thanked the staff and students for such an excellent fortnight and recalled some of the funny incidents which took place. The students then moved to the front to collect their awards, with some collecting special honours for going above and beyond over the course of the session.
The festivities continued beyond the awards and applause, as the party moved on into town, where all of ORA’s 16-18 year old students from Oxford were gathering in the town hall. This was a good chance for the Catz cohort to share their joy with other celebrating campuses, and brought the curtain down on a day of delight as everyone danced away and enjoyed fun party activities!
