From dawn until dusk, yesterday was a day for creativity at Hugh’s!
Our Introduction to Fashion and Textile Design Class jump started the creative trend as they began work on their final designs. With a static fashion show in the works for tomorrow, our students were excited to get to work on their artistic visions. Across the past two weeks, the class have been honing their skills and developing ideas and now they finally had the chance to transform those concepts into physical designs. It’s clear even in the initial stages of creation that we have some very talented students with us this session and the fashion show will surely be an impressive sight!
There was a short break for the students’ creative spirits in the afternoon as they ventured into town for their last bits of free time for the session. For some students this meant grabbing a final plate of their favourite meals and for others this meant one last trip in a punt. Our students really haven’t been able to resist the call of the river this session!
Then the evening took the cake for artistic display with a much-anticipated talent show. There were a huge variety of talented acts from dancing and singing to playing the piano and the huge array of talent our students showcased had plenty of jaws dropping around the room. Even the counsellors stepped up to show their creative sides with a prop-filled performance of Rihanna’s Umbrella!
It was a fantastic way to celebrate all the diverse talents and individuals amongst our cohort and a wonderful end to a very art-oriented day!
