It was go, go, go for students at St Mary’s on Thursday and as we come towards the end of the week here in Ascot, students were testing the limits of their knowledge with our expert team of teachers.
The cohort was very energetic on Thursday morning, with the prospect of their fun graduation day on Friday. After their trip to the zoo, students were ready to head back into their classes to learn some fun new ways of thinking!
In the morning, the group were tasked with building two story structures out of straw. Teachers encouraged everyone to work in teams as they attempted to make their structures strong enough to withstand earthquakes. It was excellent to see the group building their structures as well as their friendships!
Then it was time for a well-deserved snack of a little popcorn and a drink. It has been heating up in Ascot over the past few days, so it’s crucial that all of our students remember to stay hydrated. Following their refreshments, everyone then had the chance to start creating a platform computer game as students got stuck into their tech, towards the start of the afternoon.
After a busy day of classes, everyone enjoyed a healthy dinner together and it is safe to say the group were full of life. Everyone enjoyed playing outside in the sun, before it was time for an early night to prepare for graduation day on Friday!
