The highlight of the day for students at St Catz on Thursday was certainly their football tournament against Jowett and Balliol, and after a week of competing against the other colleges it was time to even the score on Thursday afternoon.
Before the football match got underway later in the day, students attended their final full day of classes. It was a busy day in college, as everyone prepared to hand in their final assignments or give their last presentations before graduation day on Friday. Everyone was eager to put their very best foot forward in all of their work, so the day started off with focus and determination.
Once lessons were complete for the day, the afternoon promised to enrich the futures of our students in Oxford. The group attended the university fair where they heard from different universities about the benefits of higher education. It was very informative for our students, and everyone learned a lot about how to carve their academic futures beyond their studies in school.
After such a busy day of academic activities, students were even more eager for the stress relief of playing some sports. The three colleges warmed up together before it was time to start the competitive tournament in earnest.
Following a tough few games of football against both Balliol and Jowett, Catz came out on top – although there was a little controversy about the tallying of the scores! It was great to see supporters on the sidelines cheering on their friends, and everyone is now excited for graduation day on Friday.
