With our students approaching the end of their courses, it was a very busy day at Hugh’s yesterday.
Across all subjects, students are beginning to reach the end of their content, which means it’s time for final projects and presentations! In our Film Academy class, the students have finished shooting all their footage and are working on editing their content together in time for screenings on Friday. It’s great to see our students working together as a team to edit, listening to the voices of everyone from the group and making decisions together.
Our students were working well together in the Introduction to IOS and App Coding, too. As the students gave presentations on their own apps, it was clear that every student had been supported, listened to, and included by their group, no matter their strengths. It really was a great day for teamwork at Hugh’s!
In the afternoon, students were free to head into Oxford again and most of the cohort took up the opportunity. As a few of our cohort still hadn’t been punting (and those who have can’t get enough of it!) taking a ride down the river was a popular choice. Some of our students are becoming quite the experts at guiding the boat!
In the evening, the students had plenty of choice. With the rain mostly cleared up, sports were back on outside and, with more deadlines still to come, homework club was as popular as ever, and there were even a collection of students doing arts and crafts. Other students grabbed some guitars to start practicing for the talent show on Friday!
With the last day before graduation right around the corner, our students were eager to get to bed and welcome in the next day!
