Our cohort really are getting the full British weather experience this session – after a week of bright, hot sunshine, the clouds rolled in for a slightly damper day yesterday. Our students’ weren’t daunted though, and once lessons had finished for the day they ventured out for their planned excursions with umbrellas in tow!
As yesterday’s trips were to Oxford’s tourist locations, there were several great options for our students to choose from: Blenheim Palace, Oxford Castle, and Christ Church. With so much beautiful history at all three locations, making a choice was quite difficult for some of our cohort. As the groups departed, lots of students promised to bring back pictures for their friends so they could experience all of the excursions!
Those students who hadn’t been tired out by their trips around Oxford spent the evening in an energetic Zumba class. With the weather outside still a little unreliable, lots of our cohort wanted to try an indoor sport and Zumba was a great way for the students to try out something a little different and have fun at the same time. At the end, some of our braver students even ventured outside during a drier moment for a quick game of Frisbee.
For the rest of the evening, most of the cohort concentrated on putting the finishing touches to presentations and assessments due in today, though a few were ahead enough to take part in our mug decorating workshop.
As a final celebration before bed, the winners of yesterday’s scavenger hunt were announced: Mako, Lena, Imane, and Allison! They were presented with some sweets as a prize, ending the evening on a definite high note!
