Students returned to lessons on Monday refreshed from their time off and ready to kick-off another week of lessons! With so much enthusiasm filling the classrooms, lessons were over in record time and the students were off to lunch before they knew it.
The afternoon was another chance for the students to see some more of Oxford’s rich culture with a trip to a gallery of modern art. There really is a seemingly endless fountain of art and history in Oxford and it’s great to see our students so eager to embrace it while they’re here.
Meanwhile those students who wanted to stretch out their minds and bodies at the same time gathered for an outdoor yoga session in the university parks. With the peaceful ambiance of the great outdoors to work out to, the students found it one of the best yoga classes they’d had!
After dinner, a large group of the cohort headed to the university parks together for a football showdown against St. Catherine’s college. It was a very energetic game with plenty of people cheering their college on from the sidelines. All the support clearly paid off as Jowett took home the win!
To finish off the evening, one of the counsellors organised an interview preparation workshop and held mock-interviews with our students. The cohort’s academic prowess combined with their bolstered confidence from winning the football match meant every one of them passed their ‘interview’ with flying colours!
Our students headed off to bed tired out after all the activity today but thrilled with all their wonderful achievements.
