The sun came out yesterday to mark the start of another great week in Oxford! After a fun weekend of activities, the students were all recharged and eager to take on another day of lessons.
The day’s creativity kicked off in morning lessons. The Creative Writing class have moved from building up their writing skills to beginning to create and plan their own short stories! It was a real hive of activity in the classroom as students bounced ideas off each other and read opening sentences to their friends. The wide range of ideas in the classroom was a lovely reminder of just how diverse our cohort is and of how wonderfully imaginative they all are!
In the afternoon, the day took a sweet turn as an ice cream van arrived on campus! As it was so sunny yesterday at LMH, the cold treat was a welcome sight for our students and lots of the cohort crowded around to get their favourite toppings.
As they munched their ice creams, the students gathered round to watch or participate in a couple of intense table tennis battles. With students cheering for both sides, the games ended happily no matter the victor!
After dinner, some of the cohort continued their creative streak and picked up guitars and recorders to practice their musical skills. It was great to see so many students who hadn’t thought music was their thing ready to try it out or learn from the more experienced students.
The rest of the cohort decided to carry on the sporty theme from earlier and challenged their friends to every game they could find.
With football, basketball, badminton, and cards to tire the students out, it wasn’t long before our students were heading to bed ready for an afternoon of sightseeing today!
