St Catherine’s kicked off the weekend with some football and other games on Friday, but not before they’d had another day of constructive classes and illuminating lessons!
The halfway point is nearly upon our Catz cohort, and, though the day dawned with cooler temperatures, the academic programme is heating up as the students’ projects begin to take shape. The weather may have been a bit more comfortable, but there was no taking it easy as everyone seeks to stay ahead of the curve in the classroom.
The day’s classes covered all sorts of topics, as the various programmes continued to explore the finer points of their subjects. There were team building exercises, trust exercises and essay planning lessons. There were even debate and public speaking workshops, as everyone prepares for the weekend’s upcoming events.
The evening brought a chance to get outside and blow off some steam, as the students headed to Oxford’s famous University Parks. The parks made a picturesque arena for all manner of games, as students exercised their competitive spirit with games of football, volleyball and badminton!
Everyone was glad to be outside and having fun, and the general mood was very good ahead of the weekend. The next few days will bring a series of different activities, all of which will be highly engaging, and the students are sure to be both entertained and educated. Bring it on!
