Graduation day has descended at Clare! Students prepared themselves for their last full day in Cambridge today, and it was with heavy hearts that they started to say goodbye to the campus, their friends and all of the staff who have made their time here so special.
Lessons began in the morning with enthusiasm as everyone was excited to complete their programmes. However, in many of the classes there was also an element of sadness, as lots of the students were reluctant to depart. Having learned so much under the expert guidance of our academics, everyone thanked their teachers for all of the passion they have shown during lessons.
Once they had bid farewell to their teachers, students began to prepare for their party. It was time for the group to get into their evening clothing for the ceremony. Everyone enjoyed taking some pictures together before heading to the Riley Auditorium to accept their scrolls.
There was a short introductory speech and then everyone’s name was called as they went up to the front to receive their certificates for all of their hard work. It was smiles all around, and some of the staff were certainly a little emotional as they saw the students now at the end of their academic journeys with us at ORA.
The evening was closed in celebration of our students, as the group were escorted to the Hilton Hotel in Cambridge for a wonderful party. It was complete with dancefloor, DJ and rodeo game – the most popular by far. The group partied the evening away and despite a few sore feet, it was the perfect way to round off the session.
