Saturday saw a free day for our students at Ed’s and the chance to relax and enjoy hanging out with one another. As the weather left a little to be desired the activities of the day were mainly held inside to make sure that everyone remained dry.
In the morning, students enjoyed a few extra hours in bed which was sure to put a smile on everyone’s faces. Then it was time for a hearty breakfast in college, as everyone saw the cold weather as an opportunity to feel cozy and warm in the dining room.
Following breakfast students took a good portion of the day to catch up on some homework. This was a good chance to get a little help from the counsellors, who have a range of expertise in different subject areas which have always been useful to give students a little guidance with some of their work.
Following a studious morning dedicated to completing assignments, it was time for something a little more dynamic – a talent show! After karaoke last night, the students were already geared up for another performance-based afternoon and it was brilliant to note everyone getting involved and enjoying the informal and relaxed atmosphere.
It is safe to say that this group of students certainly have lots of talents! From singing to break dancing, the afternoon was spent in style as students showed off their abilities on the makeshift stage. There was a display of flexibility as one of our students even showed off her dance and gymnastics skills! A guitar version of Oasis’ classic, Don’t Look Back in Anger, closed the show and everyone was encouraged to join in and sing along as the music was played. A great way to end a fun Saturday!
