Yesterday was a buzz of activity for our St Peter’s campus as the second session of students arrived on campus! There was some lovely British sunshine waiting to greet all our new students as they arrived at the gate.
Our lovely campus team was on hand to help the students carry all their luggage up to their rooms after their long trips while the parents relaxed and helped themselves to refreshments. Meanwhile our students began unpacking in their rooms – some even bravely ventured to the rooms next door to make friends with their neighbors!
Once everyone had unpacked a little, there was a short talk by the programme director for our students and any remaining parents. It covered all the important things the students needed to know as well as the everyday reminders – like not being late to their lessons!
Then it was time to say goodbye to all the parents. Though this might have been a sad time for some of our students, the counsellors quickly brought the mood up by organising some games! Those who were feeling sporty started challenging other students to games of snooker and table tennis! It looks like we have quite a competitive bunch this session!
Other students headed out to the marquee for some traditional British ice breaker games like ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ and ‘the name game’. After such a long day of travelling, everyone headed off to bed early with a smile on their face and a few new friends under their belt!
