It was a super Saturday at St Mary’s School, as students and staff celebrated a successful week with some sublime sporting fun! As well as this, more fantastic food and fabulous fun meant that the weekend kicked off in the best possible way!
There were some fond farewells to the students leaving us at the end of the first week. They will be missed, but they are heading home with a great experience and new friendships under their belts, so mission accomplished!
There was free time aplenty in Ascot, and everyone was keen to make the most of the day. The students immediately launched themselves into outdoor activities, with games of badminton and catch taking place on the grass. Everyone was having great fun and enjoying a well-earned break after a busy week.
The afternoon saw some more organised sporting activities, as the students faced off in a fun game of dodgeball. The players all embraced the spirit of the game, ducking and diving their way around the playing area and having a great time in the process! The students who were less interested in playing games had the chance to attend pamper club instead, and were able to paint their nails in a dazzling array of colours!
The day’s fun wasn’t over there, as a barbecue in the evening gave the students a chance to enjoy some delicious summery food. Hot-dogs and burgers went down very well indeed – including among the staff! Everyone had another superb day and set themselves up brilliantly as they prepare to start the second week in Ascot.
