Graduation was a stunning success yesterday as St Catz formally wrapped up their time in Oxford. It has been a remarkable two weeks; as challenging as it was fun, now it was time to celebrate!
The graduation saw the students awarded for their hard work during the course, but there were also additional prizes given out; these included prizes that recognised academic achievements, as well as awards for the most outstanding councillors. It was a great opportunity to recognise not only our hard-working students, but also the outstanding staff that have made the experience run like clockwork in the background.
It has to be said that the weather, unfortunately, did not hold up until the final day, even though it must be noted how exceptional it has been for the majority of the course. However, no amount of rain could dampen this most special of occasions, and soon it was time to retire the gowns and make for the dining hall. Before they went, there was just time for David, one of the students, to play a song on the piano, which had everyone enraptured!
The students all enjoyed a three-course meal, with the kitchen pulling out all the stops to make it an afternoon to remember! There was a great atmosphere as students relaxed and socialised after long days packed with lessons and activities. Later on the festivities really got underway, with Catz joining the other Oxford campuses for one last party. Congratulations to all of our ORA alumni!
